Women’s Track Competes at Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Army West Point women's track and field team completed the first day of competition at the Penn State National Invitational from Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track on Friday.
Senior Lindsay Gabow had the best performance of the first day for the Black Knights, placing 15th in the 5000-meter run with a time of 17:52.11.
Sophomore Briyah Brown was also in action, earning a 20th-place finish in the weight throw. Her mark of 15.25 meters was a season-best, surpassing her 15.23 toss at the Virginia Tech Invitational on Jan. 16.
The Penn State National Invitational will conclude tomorrow with action starting at 9:45 a.m.
