WEST POINT, N.Y. - Army women's tennis senior Jamila Paul was named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team the league announced Monday afternoon. The honor is the third of Paul's career, after landing on the squad in 2013 and 2012.

A Life Science major, Paul carries a 3.38 grade-point average as a second-semester senior. Paul went 13-6 at the No. 1 singles position this spring, while combining to win a team-record 23 doubles matches with sophomore teammate Carolyn Pitman. The pair collected 23 wins in the spring, but finished a perfect 27-0 during the entire 2013-14 campaign.

The Bulverde, Texas, native began the spring with five singles wins in a row, and finished 5-2 in singles action against Patriot League opponents. As a duo, Paul and Pitman let their opponents win more than four games on just five occasions. In their final appearance of the season, the pair knocked off Lauren Davis/Barbara Rodriguez of top-seeded Boston University in the Patriot League Championship on April 20, helping the Black Knights win the doubles point in the match.

Army finished the season 23-4 overall and 7-1 in the Patriot League. This season marked the program's seventh consecutive 20-win campaign.
