WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army women's tennis team will split for a pair of Friday matches - home against Long Island and away at Bryant - before hosting rival Navy for the first "Star" match battle on Sunday morning. The first regular-season dual match between the two programs, Sunday will be a rematch of the last two Patriot League championship bouts which Army won.

The Black Knights are 15-4 on the season and will put their unblemished 4-0 Patriot League record to the test on Sunday. Meanwhile, Army will prepare for that match with a pair of Friday contests against more familiar opponents. Army is 3-0 all-time against Bryant and 8-2 in its all-time series against Long Island.

Army has accounted for Navy's only losses against Patriot League opponents since joining the league in 2011. The Mids previously played as a club program before elevating to Division I status. Navy has won its last 17 matches in a row. The Black Knights have won 10 of their last 11 matches and 58-straight regular-season dual matches against Patriot League opponents.

Junior Jamila Paul and freshman Carolyn Pitman are both riding six-match singles win streaks. Both are undefeated against Patriot League opponents as both are 3-0 in both singles and doubles against conference foes.

Freshman Gabriella Spindler leads the team in singles wins with a 21-7 mark. Jamila Paul, Eva Sung, Margaret Iliev, Haley O'Connor, Larraine Saavedra, Della Taylor and Elle Taylor have all reached double digit singles wins as well.

Paul and senior co-captain Erin Colgate are a team-best 16-7 in doubles, while Pitman and junior Margaret Iliev have also reached double digits wins and are 12-4.

Friday's home match against Bryant is slated to be played at the outdoor Malek Courts, while Sunday's location will be dependent on the weather. So far this year, Army has played all of its regular-season dual matches at its state-of-the-art indoor facility, Lichtenberg Tennis Center. Admission to all tennis matches is free.
