MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - While senior Erin Colton and junior Jamila Paul remained at West Point to compete in the USTA/ITA Regionals over the weekend, several other Army women's tennis players headed north to take part in the Panther Team Cup, hosted by Middlebury College.

The three-day event featured a head-to-head format. The three-point matches included duos earning a point for a singles win as well as one for a doubles victory. Army joined the host Panthers, Providence, Albany and Siena at the tournament. The Black Knights recorded victories against all four opposing schools throughout the weekend.

Rookie Gabriella Spindler posted a 3-1 singles record on the weekend to lead the Black Knights. She teamed with senior co-captain Larraine Saavedra for the tournament's entirety. The pair advanced to the main draw semifinals where they lost to Alana Prinos and Taylor Corder of Providence.

Spindler and Saavedra were two of seven Black Knights to close out the fall season at the Panther Team Cup. Click here for complete results.
