COACH'S COMMENTS: "Prior to a preseason injury that put Emma on the sideline, she was expected to contribute this year. A versatile player, she gives us much-needed depth at the center back position. Although our back line had a great year in 2010, we struggled as a unit when there was injury or one of our starters had to miss a game. Emma is an intelligent and vocal central defender who can step in and keep the level where it needs to be. She is also a capable defensive midfielder - a pivotal position on the field - and will battle for time in that position as well."
