Three Black Knights Reach Double Figures In Win At Holy Cross
The Army women's basketball team rebounded from its first conference loss of the season on Saturday by earning a 70-57 victory over Holy Cross in Patriot League action on Wednesday evening at the Hart Center.

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army women's basketball squad plays the fourth of five-straight home contests on Wednesday, when it hosts Patriot League rival Holy Cross at 7 p.m.

Army extended its winning streak to games and improved to 17-5 overall and 9-2 in the conference after topping Navy, 54-48, in the "Star" Game on Feb. 8. Sophomore Kelsey Minato finished with a game-high 14 points, while senior Jen Hazlett and sophomore Jean Parker each chipped in 12.

The game can be heard live via audio stream on Knight Vision, Army's subscription-based service available on www.goARMYsports.com. Army's Nick DeSanctis will have the call. Army and Holy Cross will meet for the 55th time on Wednesday in a series dating back to 1991. The Crusaders own a 33-21 all-time advantage, but the Black Knights are on a two-game winning streak in the series, last falling to Holy Cross on Jan. 25, 2013.

Army held its opponent to under the 50 points for the sixth time this season during a 54-48 win in the "Star" Game against Navy on Feb. 8. The Black Knights, who rank second in the Patriot League by allowing just 56.5 points per game, have held opposing teams below the 50-point mark in each of the last three games (48 vs. Navy - 2/8; 45 vs. Loyola - 2/1 and Boston University - 1/29). Army outscored Navy 12-6 over the final 6:29, including six points from Minato. Minato scored a game-high 14 points for the Black Knights, while also grabbing six rebounds and dishing out six assists. Parker hit a career-high four three-pointers during a 4-of-5 showing from long range to finish with 12 points off the bench. The Portland, Ore., native contributed to an Army bench that scored 20 points, tying for the third-highest output by the reserves all season. Hazlett recorded 12 points and nine rebounds, and sophomore Aimee Oertner and freshman Danielle Failor each added six points.

The Black Knights will close out their five-game homestand on Saturday, Feb. 15, when they face Bucknell at 1 p.m.
