WEST POINT, N.Y. - After authoring spectacular individual performances over the weekend, Army freshman hockey goaltender Rob Tadazak and Black Knight junior wrestler Jordan Thome were tabbed Army Athletic Association co-Athletes of the Week on Monday.

Tadazak recorded a career-best 53 saves to help Army to a 1-1 overtime tie against ECAC Hockey rival Brown on Saturday night at Tate Rink. Making his third career start, Tadazak became the first Army goalie to record 50 saves since Jay Clark turned away 56 against No. 2 Miami on Jan. 3, 2009.

Tadazak made 15 saves in the first period, 18 in the second, 16 in the third and five in overtime to move his career record to 0-2-1. Tadazak allowed a second-period goal and then helped Army kill off all eight Brown power play opportunities.

The Troy, Ohio, native then blanked Binghamton's Patrick Hunter, 7-0, to reach the semifinals. Thome outlasted Virginia's Matt Nelson, 5-4, to make it to the championship bout, where he slipped past Minnesota's Chris Dardanes, 9-8, to capture the title.
