WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army men’s tennis is sending four players to Tulsa, Okla., this weekend for the ITA Men’s All-American Championships at the University of Tulsa. Senior Asika Isoh, sophomores Harrison McCormick and Caison Best and freshman Sam Lampman will compete in prequalifying singles matches, while Isoh and McCormick have earned a spot in the qualifying doubles bracket. Matches are set to begin Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The ITA All-American Championships is the largest individual tournament of the season and will last until Oct. 6. Singles players competing in the prequalifying bracket need to win four matches to move into the qualifying draw. From there, three wins are required to reach the main draw of 64 players. Prequalifying rounds are set for Sept. 28-29, Qualifying is scheduled for Sept. 30-Oct. 2, and the Main Draw will be Oct. 3-6.

Army lifted the lid on its fall season last weekend at a pair of tournaments – the St. Joseph’s Invitational and the Ivy Plus Invitational. Isoh and McCormick defeated a duo from UNC-Wilmington at the Ivy Plus event, while Isoh also recorded a singles victory over an opponent from Brown in straight sets. Competing in his first collegiate tournament, Lampman brought home a straight-set victory over Jeremy Court from Penn. This weekend’s action will be the first of the season for Best.
Following its trip to Tulsa, Army will host a four-team quad tournament next weekend. St. Bonaventure, Boston College and Yale are all scheduled to compete in the round-robin, slated for Oct. 5-6 at Malek Tennis Center, weather permitting.
