The Army men's tennis team will be back on the court for the first time since Nov. 3 when it sends eight Black Knights to take part in the Dallas Shootout on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the T Bar M Racquet Club in Dallas, Texas. Army will send four doubles teams to compete in the wildcard draw at three-day tournament, which begins on Friday evening.
Highlighting Army's doubles competitors are senior Asika Isoh and sophomore Harrison McCormick. The duo posted a team-best 21-11 record last season, while going 5-8 in tournament play. Among the Black Knights' other doubles pairings are sophomore Austin McCasin and freshman Kyle Barnes, freshmen Sam Lampmann and Grant Reichmann, and seniors Henry Jang-Milsten and Rommel Verano.
Lampman and Reichmann most recently went 1-1 at the Harvard Halloween Invitational on Nov. 1-3, and are tied for the team lead with four doubles wins (4-4). Barnes and McCasin are 4-3 on the year, last defeating tandems from Lehigh and Colgate at the Patriot League Kickoff on Oct. 28.
The pairings of Barnes/McCasin and Lampman/Reichmann both take the court at 7 p.m. E.T., while Isoh/McCormick and Jang-Milsten/Verano begin tournament action at 10 p.m. E.T.
Following this week, Army will begin its spring dual match schedule when it hosts Monmouth on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m.
