WEST POINT, N.Y. - Army men's soccer junior goalkeeper Winston Boldt was voted to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division I All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team on Tuesday.

Boldt is one of 11 players to be named to the Mid-Atlantic Region First Team, and is one of 88 players nationally to earn all-region first-team honors.

Boldt started in all 18 games for the Black Knights this fall and contributed to a 12-3-3 overall record, helping Army collect 12 wins for just the fifth time in team history. He helped the Black Knights clinch their first Patriot League Championship spot since 1996, while notching five shutouts in league play. Army finished the year with six conference victories (6-2-1) for just the second time since joining the league in 1990.

The St. Louis, Mo., native was named to the Capital One Academic All-America Division I Second Team last month, and drew Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year honors earlier this year. He has been selected to's National Team of the Week three times, including a pair of nods this season. The co-captain set an Army men's soccer record by posting his 10th shutout of the campaign during a 2-0 win over Central Connecticut State on Oct. 22. Through games of Dec. 8, Boldt stands tied for second in the nation with 12 shutouts, ranks third nationally in save percentage (.888) and is fifth in goals against average (.521).

By landing on the all-region first team, Boldt is eligible for the All-American squad, which will be announced later this month.

Boldt becomes the first Army player to earn all-region honors since Daniel Newell (USMA '08) was chosen in 2007.
