WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army men's soccer team wraps up its three-game road trip on Saturday, Oct. 27, when the Black Knights travel to Easton, Pa., to battle Patriot League rival Lafayette. The conference match, which will be contested inside Oaks Stadium, is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

Army (4-9-1, 1-3-1 PL) put itself in contention to secure a spot in next month's Patriot League Tournament following the Black Knights' 2-1 road victory at Bucknell last Saturday night. Army begins the weekend just two points behind fourth-place Lehigh in the congested league standings. A Black Knights victory versus Lafayette on Saturday would further strengthen Army's playoff positioning heading into the final weekend of conference play.

Lafayette (6-7-3, 2-1-2 PL) enters Saturday's showdown versus Army in third place in the conference standings with eight points. The Leopards are just three points behind first place American and only four points clear of eighth-place Army in the jumbled Patriot League playoff picture. All eight schools are still in contention to reach the postseason, and no team has clinched a playoff berth yet.

Live stats for Saturday's match will be available via GameTracker. The link is accessible by logging onto Army's official athletics website and navigating to the men's soccer page. A live video streamed broadcast of Saturday's contest will also be offered by logging onto Lafayette's official athletics website ( Twitter updates will be provided throughout the game via the official handle of Army men's soccer (@Army_MSoccer).

Army, which dropped a 1-0 decision at Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon, is looking to reach the Patriot League Tournament for the first time since 1996. The Black Knights have won two of their last three road games and now stand 2-6-1 away from West Point this fall.

Senior midfielder Josh Koeppe continues to lead the Army offense with three goals and eight points. Senior midfielder Michael Kim, who leads the Black Knights with 29 shots, and freshman midfielder Parker Dixon are tied for second on the squad with two goals and seven points apiece. Kim and Dixon are also tied with sophomore midfielder Devin Perlee for the team lead with three assists each.

Sophomore goalkeeper Winston Boldt, who has started each of Army's 14 matches this fall, brings a 1.54 goals-against average and .722 save percentage into Saturday action. The second-year keeper outdueled Bucknell's Mike Lansing last weekend in the Black Knights' victory over the Bison.

Lafayette, which has been idle since playing Colgate to a 2-2 draw last Saturday, is 2-1-2 over its last five matches. The Leopards, who are looking to qualify for the conference tourney for the first time since 2009, show a 5-3-2 mark over their last 10 matches. Lafayette is 3-2-1 at home this season. The Leopards have not lost at Oaks Stadium since Sept. 12.

Junior goalkeeper Nathan McDonald, who has started 12 games for the Leopards this season, ranks among the Patriot League leaders in goals-against average (1.20), save percentage (.700) and shutouts (four).

Junior midfielder Alec Golini leads Lafayette with six goals and 13 points. Senior midfielder Sean Peckham, who was named to the All-Patriot League first team last season, ranks second on the team with two goals and seven points. Peckham is also tied for the team lead with three assists.

Army and Lafayette have met 40 times since the series began in 1925. The Black Knights, who have not defeated the Leopards since posting a 5-1 road victory in 2000, hold a 16-14-10 edge in the all-time series. Last season's meeting at West Point ended in a 0-0 draw.

Following Saturday's match, Army will return home to wrap up its 2012 campaign. The Black Knights will host non-conference foe NJIT on Tuesday, Oct. 30, before tangling with Patriot League rival Lehigh on Saturday, Nov. 3. Live video streamed broadcasts of both contests will be available via Knight Vision, Army's subscription-based multimedia platform.
