Army (6-9-0) began its current three-game homestand on a high note Saturday night as the Black Knights knocked off Patriot League rival Bucknell, 2-1.

Junior Arnold Chun scored the game-winning goal midway through the second half to help deliver Army its first victory over the Bison since 2005. Freshman goalkeeper Winston Boldt made a career-high eight saves to preserve the win and vault the Black Knights smack dab into the middle of the Patriot League Tournament picture.

The win over Bucknell moves Army into a tie for sixth place in the conference standings with the Bison. With six points, the Black Knights are just one point behind both Navy and Lafayette for the fourth and final playoff spot with two Patriot League matches left on the docket.

Junior Josh Koeppe continues to lead Army in several offensive categories, topping the Black Knights in goals (four), points (10), shots (36), shots on goal (14) and game-winning goals (two). He also lists tied for second on the team with two assists.

Junior Trent Brown and freshmen Devin Perlee and Elliott McGilbra are tied for second on the squad with six points each. All three players have registered two goals and two assists.

Boldt, who has started each of the last two matches for Army, shows a 1.82 goals-against average and a .778 save percentage. Fellow freshman John Marinelli, who started the first 13 matches of the season, carries a 1.67 goals-against average and a .600 save percentage into Wednesday's action.

Adelphi (6-7-1) had its modest two-game win streak snapped over the weekend when the Panthers dropped a 2-1 decision at Clemson. Before losing to the Tigers, AU had posted back-to-back shutouts over Howard (2-0) and Bucknell (1-0).

Junior Brandon Stoneham, who has scored two goals and dished out a team-high three assists, leads Adelphi with seven points. Juniors Omar Edwards and Steven Rivera list tied for second on the squad with five points apiece.

Panther freshman goalkeeper Christopher Herrera boasts a 1.09 goals-against average and an .806 save percentage.

Army and Adelphi have met 21 times previously in a series that began in 1963. The Panthers own a 13-7-1 advantage over the Black Knights in the all-time series. The teams last squared off in 1997 with Army taking a 4-0 decision. Tonight's contest will mark the first meeting at West Point between the two squads since a 4-0 Army victory in 1996.

Following Wednesday's match versus Adelphi, Army will return to its Patriot League slate on Sunday, Oct. 30, when the Black Knights host Lafayette in its regular-season home finale. An Army win over Lafayette would bolster the Black Knights' chances of qualifying for a spot in the Patriot League Tournament. An Army loss versus the Leopards would eliminate the Black Knights from playoff contention.

It will be Senior Day for the squad and the Black Knights' firsties will be honored in a special ceremony prior to the contest. The match will be video streamed live on ITT Knight Vision.
