The Army men's soccer team is on the road for its final non-conference game of the season, as it takes on Central Connecticut State in a battle of regionally ranked teams on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m.
The Black Knights enter the contest ranked seventh in the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Mid-Atlantic Region poll while holding the nation's fourth-best win-loss-tie percentage (.875). The Blue Devils come in slotted eighth in the NSCAA North Atlantic Region.

Central Connecticut Tops Army, 2-1
Central Connecticut State scored a pair of goals in a span of less than nine minutes late in the first half to overcome an early 1-0 deficit and defeat Army, 2-1, in a non-league men's soccer match played under beautiful conditions on Saturday evening at Clinton Field.

Army (10-1-1) grabbed its fifth-straight win, matching its best start in program history with a 2-1 overtime victory against American on Saturday, Oct. 19. Freshman midfielder Alex Jaroscak scored the game winner in overtime, while freshman back Tanner Vosvick netted a penalty kick and picked up an assist. Freshman back Christian Clark also tallied an assist, and junior goalkeeper Winston Boldt tied his season high with seven saves to record his 10th victory of the year.
Freshman forward Ethan Spivack leads the Black Knights with three goals, while Jaroscak, Vosick and junior back Sean Mogan each have two goals and two assists. Boldt leads the nation with nine shutouts, and stands tied with Frank Oprandy '89 and Lucas Rice '93 for first on the program's single-season shutouts list. Boldt has also contributed to Army's defensive rankings, as the Black Knights lead the country in save percentage (.909) and are third in goals against average (.480).
Winners of three straight, Central Connecticut State (6-5-1) is led offensively by sophomore forward Zach Zurita (four goals, four assists) and senior forward Eddy Bogle (four goals, two assists). Freshman back Conor Qualter adds a pair of markers, and junior goalie Josef Abele is 6-3-0 with five shutouts in 10 starts.
The Blue Devils hold a 3-1-0 advantage over the Black Knights in a series that dates back to 1988. Central Connecticut State topped Army, 2-1, in 2011's meeting at West Point.
After Tuesday, the Black Knights will play their final home game of the season when they host Lehigh in a Patriot League match scheduled for 7 p.m.
