CHESTER, Pa. - On Friday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m., the second installment of the Army-Navy Cup will be contested at PPL Park, home of Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union. At that time, the Black Knights of West Point will be in direct conflict with the Midshipmen of Annapolis. This match will be played before a global audience in the 80th renewal of that incredible rivalry, as the match will be shown on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's, NSCAA-TV Network.

It is another amazing attraction that continues to expand the Greater Philadelphia Region's appeal to sports fans, those who appreciate history, or love great food and good times.

Army got off to a great start, as the only Division I team in the nation unbeaten and un-scored upon for the first month of the collegiate soccer season. The Black Knights are now 6-1-1. Navy has righted its ship, and is now 4-3-2. Both teams play in the very competitive Patriot League. The inaugural Army-Navy Cup last September was an incredibly hard fought 1-1 tie.

"We extend a big welcome to the Army, Navy and everyone connected with the Army Navy Cup," said Meryl Levitz, president and CEO, Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC). "In Philadelphia, the city where the Army and Navy were born, they'll find the new `Honor, Sacrifice and Freedom Tour' of war memorials, great food, an abundance of arts and culture and an appreciative city proud to play host to all." You can book your Army-Navy Cup II hotel package and plan your trip on www.visitphilly.com. Hotel packages are also available on www.hotelpalomar-philadelphia.com and www.monaco-philadelphia.com.

While the Greater Philadelphia Region will be a gracious host, the stadium and the match itself will take place about 18 miles from Center City Philadelphia, right over the line in Delaware County. The Brandywine Valley boasts some of the most picturesque countryside and over 40 historical sites to see as well.

"One of the most important sites in the making of the history of our Country is the Brandywine Battlefield in Chadds Ford, said Tore Fiore, Executive Director of Delaware County's Brandywine Conference and Visitors Bureau. "History comes alive at the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum in Media offering an in depth look at the battles that took place that helped preserve our way of life; a definite can't miss and it's free. The complete history of sports in Delaware County, going back to the late 1800s, is all under one roof at the Delaware County Athlete's Hall of Fame at the Mickey Vernon Museum located in the Granite Run Mall, just outside of Media".

These attractions and more can be found at www.brandywinecvb.org.

The match is a collaboration between the service Academies, Keystone Sports & Entertainment, Global Spectrum, the Philadelphia Sports Congress, Brandywine Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Army-Navy Cup Host Committee.
