2013 Schedule

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Army men's soccer head coach Russell Payne revealed the program's 2013 schedule on Tuesday. Ten home matches, a road date against Air Force and the second annual Army-Navy Cup at PPL Park highlight the Black Knights' 18-game fall slate.

"We are excited about the potential that the 2013 season brings," said Payne. "This competitive schedule will challenge our team on a number of different levels and prepare us as we embark upon our quest for a championship season."

Army, which compiled a 4-10-3 overall record last fall, opens its 2013 campaign with home games against VMI (Aug. 30) and Manhattan (Sept. 2). The Black Knights then travel to USAFA, Colo., to face Air Force (Sept. 7), before hosting regional rivals Marist (Sept. 11) and Fordham (Sept. 14).

A short trip to Quinnipiac (Sept. 18) is followed by a home match versus Houston Baptist (Sept. 22). Army lifts the lid on its Patriot League schedule with a road test at Bucknell (Sept. 28), before returning home to begin a three-match homestand against LIU-Brooklyn (Oct. 1).

Army hosts conference rivals Boston University (Oct. 5), Colgate (Oct. 9), American (Oct. 19) and Lehigh (Oct. 26) during a busy October stretch, which also sees the Black Knights travel for games at Loyola (Md.) (Oct. 12), Central Connecticut State (Oct. 22) and Holy Cross (Oct. 30).

Army wraps up its regular-season slate with a road game opposite Lafayette (Nov. 2), before facing Navy in the second annual Army-Navy Cup at PPL Park in Philadelphia on Nov. 8.

The Patriot League Tournament has expanded this season with the addition of Boston University and Loyola (Md.) to the conference membership. The event starts with quarterfinal action on Nov. 12, before semifinal matches are contested on Nov. 15. The Patriot League Championship will be played on Nov. 17 at the home field of the top-seeded squad.
