CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Two days removed from a thrilling 9-6 win over rival Navy to secure a Patriot League Tournament bid, junior Garrett Thul and senior Zach Palmieri picked up Patriot League weekly honors. Thul garnered Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time this season, while Palmieri nabbed Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week laurels for the second week in a row.

With Army's playoff bid hanging in the balance, Thul came up big with five goals to help carry the Black Knights to victory. His five tallies tied a career-high for the third time and included a highlight-reel over-the-shoulder tally late in the game to help secure the win. Thul created for himself for three goals and got assists from rookie midfielder John Glesener on the other two.

A first team All-Patriot League performer in each of the last two seasons, Thul has scored a goal in 36-straight games - the third-longest active goal scoring streak in the country. He recorded his seventh hat trick of the season and 23rd of his career last Saturday against Navy. Thul's 3.0 goals per game this season rank fourth in the NCAA, while his 119 career goals place him alone in seventh place on the Patriot League's all-time ledger.

Palmieri picked up his sixth win of the season as Army's starting goalkeeper on Saturday. He allowed just six goals in and played all 60 minutes between the pipes. He turned away eight shots, including two in the fourth quarter to help preserve the Black Knights' second-straight win.

The Syracuse, N.Y., native has started all 12 games in the cage and lowered his goals-against average to 8.82 after Saturday's win. Palmieri carries a 51.2 save percentage on the year and has held four opponents to six goals or less this season.

Army, which broke into the No. 20 spot in this week's Nike/Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, hosts Holy Cross in the Patriot League regular-season finale for both teams this Saturday, April 21, at Michie Stadium. As a part of Senior Day festivities, the Black Knights will honor 12 members of the Class of 2012 and their families prior to the noon face-off.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through, by calling 1-877-TIX-ARMY or by visiting the Army Ticket Office, located inside the Holleder Center.
