WEST POINT, N.Y. - Riding the momentum of four-straight victories, including Saturday's 14-7 victory over rival Navy, the Army lacrosse team ascended to the No. 16 spot in both the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Coaches Poll and Warrior Media Poll. It is the fourth-straight week the Black Knights have been ranked and the highest national standing they have enjoyed this season.

Army secured the No. 2 seed, and accompanying first-round bye, for the 2014 Patriot League Championship, which will be played April 25 and 27 at regular-season champion Loyola. The Greyhounds, who escaped Army by a 7-6 score earlier this season, continue to hold down the No. 1 ranking in both national polls this week. Lehigh, currently third in the Patriot League standings, comes in at No. 17/19.

In addition to its national rankings, Army continues to lead the NCAA in scoring defense, yielding 5.82 goals per game. The defense has held all 11 of its opponents to single-digit goals this season and is the only team in the NCAA to do so.

Army visits Patriot League foe Colgate this Friday under the lights at Andy Kerry Stadium at 7 p.m. Fans can follow the game live online free of charge on Patriot League Network. In addition, live statistics will be made available. To access both links, visit the lacrosse schedule page of Periodic scoring updates will be posted to @Army_Lacrosse on Twitter.
