WEST POINT, N.Y.  – Fans at Tate Rink and those watching online were treated to quite a goal last Friday night as rookie center Clint Carlisle hit sophomore defenseman Christian Pomarico on the doorstep to score the equalizer in the opening period against visiting Canisius. The effort earned the Black Knights the NCAA’s third-best Play of the Week.

Carlisle skated into the zone and his fancy no-look, behind-the-back pass to Pomarico turned heads and also earned Army Athletic Association Play of the Week plaudits on Monday. Freshman Ryan Nick earned a second assist on the play as well.

Army dropped Friday night’s game, but rebounded to record a 2-0 shutout of the Golden Griffins on Saturday at Tate Rink.
