The Black Knights fell behind by two goals and cut the deficit in half before AIC closed the game with a pair of scores.

AIC extended its lead to 2-0 midway through the first period. Nathan Sliwinski was credited with the goal, although it appeared his shot hit off an Army player before finding the back of the net.

Tadazak made a great save on a breakaway attempt when an AIC player picked up the puck coming out of the penalty box to keep it a two-goal deficit early in the second period.
Army cut the deficit in half with 4:28 remaining in the second period. Hearn forced a turnover and got the puck out to Lalor who converted the breakaway for his sixth goal of the season. It marked Hearn’s seventh assist and made it a 2-1 AIC lead after two periods.
AIC was awarded a five-minute power play after a contact to the head infraction and increased its lead to 3-1 when Adam Pleskach scored midway through the final session.
The Yellow Jackets closed the game with a rare goal when Blake Peake played the puck off the boards and it bounced off the post and in.
