WEST POINT, N.Y. - Twelve teams along with individual qualifiers will be competing at the 68th NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships being hosted by Army Thursday through Saturday April 15-17 at Christ Arena, located in the Holleder Center on the campus of the United States Military Academy.
"We are very excited to have the opportunity to host the National Championships once again and show off our facilities at West Point, which we consider one of the finest in the country," stated Army head coach Doug Van Everen. "It also is a great opportunity to compete with the best of the best."
The Black Knights hosted the NCAA Championships in 2005 when senior Brian Lee earned All-America honors following his second-place finish on still rings. Army has four individuals competing in Thursday night's session in senior all-arounder Ty Smith, sophomore Jonathan Hoey on high bar along with freshmen Garrek Hojan-Clark on pommel horse and Kip Webber on floor exercise.
Ticket prices: All-session tickets, which include four competition sessions, are priced at $45, with all-session student tickets available for $20. Single-session tickets for sessions 1 through 3 are priced at $15 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Session 4 tickets are $17 for adults and $5 for students. Thursday, April 15 - Session 1 (6 teams) Open gym, 10 a.m; timed warm-up Session 1, 11:20 a.m.; competition 1 p.m.
Session 2 Open gym, 4 p.m.; timed warm-up Session 2, 5:30 p.m.; competition, 7 p.m.
Friday, April 16 - Session 3 (6 teams and all-around finals) Open gym, 8-10 a.m. and 4 p.m.; timed warm-up Session 3 at 5:20 p.m.; competition 7 p.m.
