LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Freshman Jesse Glenn closed out the evening session at the Winter Cup Challenge turning in his top performances on vault and floor exercise in Thursday's preliminary round at the Las Vegas Sports Center, but fell short of advancing to Saturday's finals.

Glenn finished 12th on vault (14.25) and 15th on floor exercise (13.6) among the field of 34 in the evening session. In the combined sessions of 74 competitors, he placed 27th on vault, 33rd on floor exercise, tied for 41st on pommel horse, tied for 50th on high bar and 51st on parallel bars.

"It was a good meet for Jesse to compete in," said head Army coach Doug Van Everen. "It showed he is in the mix among the nation's top competitors that included Olympians and National Team members."

Army is back in action Feb. 16 when it heads to Atlanta, Ga., to compete with Air Force and Navy at the All-Academy Championships.
