CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Four Army golfers were among the 36 student-athletes who were named to the Patriot League Golf Academic Honor Roll, the league announced.
Senior Ethan Johnson, juniors Matt Philie and David Marx and freshman Robby Hill met the standard of at least a 3.2 grade point average in the spring semester.
Philie, a Systems Engineering major from West Friendship, Md., posted a 3.968 grade-point average in the spring semester and tied for 23rd at the Patriot League Championships. He played in four events in the spring.
Marx registered a 3.501 grade-point average in Systems Engineering. An Orlando, Fla. native, he competed in three tournaments during the spring.
Johnson, a senior captain, is an American History major who secured a 3.412 grade-point average in his final semester but did not compete due to an injury.
Hill got his collegiate career off to a great start with a 3.49 grade-point average in his second semester. He played in five events during the spring with a tie for 10th in the dual match against Florida Atlantic as his top finish.
