CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Army sophomore Robby Hill was among the five golfers who were named to the Men’s Golf Academic All-Patriot League, the conference announced on Monday.
Hill, the lone sophomore on the team, boasts a 3.6 grade-point average as an Engineering Management major and placed sixth at the league championship.
A native of Springfield, Ill., Hill was a second-team All-Patriot League choice when he finished in the top-10 at Saucon Valley Country Club two weeks ago.
He was tabbed for the Academic All-Patriot League in a vote of league Sports Information Directors who were not allowed to vote for players from their school.
This is the first academic Patriot League honor for Hill.
To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
