Renfroe's Ninth-Place Finish Paces Army Golf

NESHANIC STATION, N.J.  Adam Renfroe shot a season-best 76 to finish in a tie for ninth-place to lead a contingent of five Army golfers at the Peacock Invitational, Tuesday afternoon at Neshanic Valley Golf Course.

Army competed as individuals and did not factor into the team scoring at the 12-team event held in New Jersey.

Renfroe shot a 78 earlier this year but posted a score of four-over for his second top-20 finish this season.

James Raymond was one shot behind Renfroe and tied his season-best 18-hole score and finished at five-over, in a tie for 14th place.

Taylor Durling, who usually serves as the team’s manager, was cleared to compete and shot an 82 to finish tied for 40th.

Austin Rhymer shot an 84 and Jay Twitty a 90 to round out the Army scores.

Army will compete this weekend at the Patriot League Championships, Saturday and Sunday at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.
