Pennsylvania Trip Awaits Army Golf

WEST POINT, N.Y.  – Pennsylvania is next for the Army golf team. After trips to Florida and California to open the spring season, the Black Knights will make the trek to Malvern, Pa., for the Wildcat Invitational at White Manor Country Club.

Villanova is hosting the 12-team event beginning with 36 holes on Monday and concluding with an 18-hole final round on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,009-yard layout.

In addition to Army and Villanova, the field includes Bucknell, Drexel, Fordham, Georgetown, LaSalle, Saint Joseph’s, Temple, Delaware, Rhode Island and Youngstown State.

Juniors Harrison Florence and Anthony Kim, sophomore Robby Hill and freshmen Marcus Plunkett and Brandon Roberts will represent Army.

Hill is set for his seventh tournament this season and is averaging an 81 through 17 rounds. Plunkett has also competed in 17 rounds with a 76 average in six events. Roberts has played in four events this season and is averaging an 83 in 12 rounds.

Following the Wildcat Invitational, Army will play at the Lafayette Invitational April 7 and 8 at Northampton Country Club and at the Manor Intercollegiate on April 12 and 13 at The Manor Golf Club in Farmville, Va. The following day, West Point Golf Course will host the Last Chance Classic.
