Golf Completes First Round At Pacific Invitational

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Army golf team wrapped up the first day of competition at the Pacific Invitational Thursday at the Stockton Country Club. The Black Knights enter the second round in 12th place at 18-over par.

Brigham Young leads the tournament at seven-under par. The Cougars are the only team below par. Army is just one shot behind Fresno State.

Freshman Peter Kim was Army’s top finisher in the first round at +3. Kim shot a 74 on the par-71 layout and will start Friday’s second round tied for 37th place. Sophomore Eric Peng shot a 75 and is tied for 43rd, while junior Robby Hill carded a five-over par 76 (t-45). Sophomore Marcus Plunkett and freshman Justin Pagila rounded out the Black Knights’ lineup. Both players shot a six-over par 77.

BYU’s Joe Parkinson leads the tournament at six-under par.

Army is scheduled to start the second round at 11:50 a.m. ET on Friday. The Black Knights will begin play on the back nine of the Stockton Country Club.
