Captain's Corner: Stephen Anderson Blog #17

The following blog will chronicle the 2010 Army football season through the eyes of senior LB Stephen Anderson. The Ijamsville, Md., native is in his second season serving as a team captain and has been described as the "heartbeat" of the Army defense. Anderson will provide periodic blog updates throughout the Black Knights' 2010 campaign. Click here to read Stephen Anderson's biography.

First off, WOW does it feel amazing to be bowl eligible. Going to a bowl game is something I have always wanted to do since I played high school football. We finally brought winning back to Army, now it is time to step on the accelerator. Six wins is something to be proud of, but seven wins sounds so much better.

This weekend we make history as the first college football game to be played in the new Yankee Stadium. We want that history to read “Army wins first game in new stadium.” These last few games are precious for us seniors and we are not letting anyone forget how much they mean.

We constantly remind ourselves how important each snap means and how much closer we are to making this team the new “1996” team. Hard work pays off. No regrets, just memories!

Go Army! Beat Notre Dame!
