CLEVELAND, Ohio – Seniors Terry Baggett and Steve Shumaker were first-team choices and Robert Kough, Raymond Maples and Geoffery Bacon were second-team choices as the Phil Steele’s College Football Preview released its all-Independent Team.

Baggett was the first team running back on the squad, while Shumaker was tabbed as an offensive lineman. Kough, a defense lineman, Maples a running back and Bacon, a safety, were tabbed for the second team.

Players from Army, Notre Dame, BYU and Navy comprise the team.

Baggett rushed for 1,113 yards last season and scored eight touchdowns. He averaged 92.8 yards per game 7.9 yards per carry.

Shumaker, a tackle, helped pave the way for a rushing attack that was among the nation’s leaders with 311.8 yards per game average.

Bacon played in just eight games during his junior campaign and finished second on the team with 63 tackles. He recorded 35 primary stops and was credited with a quarterback hurry.

Maples, who ran for 1,000 yards as a sophomore and junior, was injured last season in the third game of the season. He was granted a waiver by the NCAA for a fifth season.

Kough registered 33 tackles last season, including three sacks and eight tackles for losses of 23 yards.

Army opens the 2014 season, the first under Jeff Monken, on Sept. 6 at Michie Stadium against Buffalo.

Single-game and season tickets are now on sale. Army will welcome Buffalo, Ball State, Rice, Air Force and Fordham to historic Michie Stadium this year. The Black Knights will also play Connecticut at Yankee Stadium.

Single game tickets are available for just $32 for the Buffalo contest. The Rice game is priced at $35, while Ball State and Fordham tickets are $49. Air Force tickets start at $50. Tickets for the game at Yankee Stadium start at $30.

Season tickets are also available with prices beginning at $116 for the spirit zone. Sideline, end zone and upper level seats are available for just $187.

Three-game mini plans are also offered with prices ranging from $91-$113 depending on which games fans select.

Fans will also have the option to purchase parking in advance for $15. Parking is $20 on gameday.
