WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army football team began its second week of spring practice with a two and a half hour session on Tuesday evening. The team split its workout time between Howze Field and Michie Stadium.
Tuesday marked the Black Knights' fourth spring practice and featured the nicest weather thus far, as temperatures stayed in the 50s during the majority of the workout. Tuesday's practice was the second full-contact session of the year after the coaching staff transitioned the team to full pads last Friday.
Army will return to practice Wednesday at 5 p.m. for its fifth workout.
The Black-Gold Game will be held Saturday, April 19 at noon at Michie Stadium.
Army stretched as a team on Howze Field.
Following warm-ups, the special teams units conducted coverage drills.
The next periods were devoted to situational offensive drills.
At Michie Stadium, the defense worked on single coverage drills with defensive backs.
Receivers and defensive backs went one-on-one during a practice session at Howze Field.
During team offensive drills, Army worked out of two huddles.
Practice finished at Michie Stadium with the full offense against the full defense during in-game situations.
