► Kent State earned their first victory over Army in three meetings. The Black Knights won 17-14 in overtime at Michie Stadium during the 2006 season and 45-28 at Dix Stadium in 2010.
► Army has lost six straight games to Mid-American Conference opponents.
► The Black Knights have not won back-to-back games since Sept. 18 and Sept. 25, 2010.
► Army dropped to 0-5 all-time in games immediately following a win over a team from a BCS automatic qualifying conference.
► The Black Knights are now 8-70 since 2002 when trailing at halftime.
► Army lost the turnover battle, 1-0. The Black Knights dropped to 4-14 since 2009 when losing the turnover battle.

► Army ran for 325 yards, its fourth game with at least 300 yards on the ground. The Black Knights entered the game ranked No. 1 in the nation at 397.2 yards per contest.
► The Black Knights threw for 132 yards, their highest output since 149 yards against Kent State on Nov. 13, 2010.
► Sophomore RB Raymond Maples rushed for 80 yards to move into 10th place on the Army career rushing ledger. Maples has 2,025 yards. He is just 74 yards shy of moving into ninth place (Doug Black).
► Senior QB Trent Steelman ran for 66 yards, increasing his career total to 2,569. He ranks 25th all-time among quarterback in NCAA history.
► Senior RB Malcolm Brown ran for a team-high 92 yards, matching his career high set last season against Northern Illinois. He also scored his first rushing touchdown of the season.
► Freshman QB A.J. Schurr got his first extended playing time of the season. Schurr was under center for Army's last two drives, including their final touchdown march. The rookie was 5-for-11 for 66 yards and his first collegiate passing touchdown, and ran four times for 21 yards.
► Sophomore WR Chevaugn Lawrence posted career highs with six catches for 88 yards. It was the most productive day by an Army receiver since Alejandro Villanueva had seven catches for 119 yards against VMI on Nov. 14, 2009.
► Junior WR Patrick Laird had two catches for 10 yards and his first career touchdown catch. Laird has caught at least two passes in three straight games.
► Sophomore RB Stephen Fraser made his first career reception, a 24-yarder.

► Army did not force a turnover, dropping to 1-9 since 2009 when not taking the ball away.
► Sophomore DT Richard Glover made his first career start. Fourteen Black Knights have now made their first career appearance with the first unit, including 10 on defense. Glover recorded his second quarterback sack in as many weeks.
► Sophomore LB Geoffery Bacon matched his career high 14 tackles, including a career-best 12 solo stops.
► Senior LB Nate Combs had one tackle for loss, increasing his team-best total to 9.0 on the season.
► Army started four freshmen on Saturday -- DE T.J. Atimalala, LB Alex Meier, CB Chris Carnegie and FS Brandon Fusilier-Jeffires.
► Rookie DE T.J. Atimalala made a career-high 1.5 tackles for loss.

► Freshman K Daniel Grochowski was 1-for-2 on field goal tries, missing a career-long 47-yard try and making a 37-yarder. Grochowski was 2-for-2 on PAT tries.
► Junior LB Zachary Williams had his first career kick return, a 22-yard effort on a squib kick by the Golden Flashes.
► Kent State's Dri Archer entered Saturday's game as the nation's top kick returner at nearly 48 yards per return, but senior K Eric Osteen did not allow him a return attempt on Saturday.
