The start of the game was delayed 60 minutes because of weather. The last time Army sat through a weather delay was at Northern Illinois on Sept. 3, 2011. The game was also delayed for 45 minutes in the first quarter.

Army played on grass for the first time this season.  The Black Knights will play three games on grass this season with a pair of contests at Lincoln Financial Field, Oct. 19 vs. Temple and Dec. 14 vs. Navy.

Army snapped a 14-straight losing streak away from Michie Stadium.

Army's last win not in Michie Stadium was a 16-13 victory in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl on Dec. 30, 2010.

Army now leads the series with Louisiana Tech 2-0.

Army is now 2-0 in historic Cotton Bowl Stadium following a 24-6 win over Southern Methodist University on Oct. 13, 1967.

Army is 2-0 in its last two trips to Texas. Army beat SMU 16-13 in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl on Dec. 30, 2010.

Army is now 8-11 in games played in Texas

Army is now 17-29-2 all-time against teams currently in Conference USA.

Army has now scored on its first possession in four out of five games with three touchdowns and a field goal. Army punted on its first possession against Wake Forest and kicked a field goal opposite Stanford.

Army rushed for a season-high 414 yards against Louisiana Tech, the second time this season it topped 300 yards following a 363-yard effort opposite Ball State.

Trenton Turrentine started his second consecutive game at running back. He is from nearby Keller, Texas. Turrentine posted career highs with 12 carries for 81 yards.
Center Ryan Powis leads the offense with 22 career starts, 12 of them consecutively.

Terry Baggett scored his first rushing touchdown of the season in the first quarter.

Aaron Kemper collected his first career carry in the first half. Kemper scored his first collegiate touchdown with a three-yard run late in the first half.

Terry Baggett rushed for a career-best 143 yards and  two touchdowns. It was his third career 10--yard game.

Kelvin White, in the game because Angel Santiago's helmet came off, rushed for a one-yard touchdown, his first career touchdown.

Chevaugn Lawrence had his streak of consecutive games with at least one catch stopped at 14. It was Army's longest streak since Jeremy Trimble went 22 straight in 2006 and 2007.

Justin Trimble made his first start of the season and ninth of his career at linebacker.
Jarrett Mackey leads the defense with 21 career starts, four of them consecutively.

Julian Holloway established his career-best with 1.5 tackles for loss.
Holloway collected a career-best nine tackles.

Colin Linkul recorded back-to-back sacks for losses of 21 yards in the third quarter. He matched his career-best which he established against Tulane on Oct. 1, 2011. The two tackles were his first of the season. Linkul has 11 career tackles, 6.5of which are career sacks.

Brothers Evan and Shane Finnane were in the game at the same time on Louisiana Tech's final drive. It was the collegiate debut for both players.

Shaquille Tolbert's interception on the final play was the first of his career.

Kicker Daniel Grochowski was credited with a tackle on the opening kickoff, his first of the season.
Grochowski converted all five of his point after touchdown attempts. He also made all five of his attempts against Eastern Michigan on Oct. 12, 2012.

Among the crowd of 31,278 at Cotton Bowl Stadium were Brant Ringler, Executive Director of the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, former Army quarterback Ronnie McAda, Army all-time leading rusher Mike Mayweather and recent Army Sports Hall of Fame inductee Richard "Dick" Nowak.
