CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Army freshman Kyle Wilson picked up his second straight Patriot League Rookie of the Week honor Monday afternoon, becoming the first Black Knight to win the award in consecutive weeks since the 2000-01 season. Wilson averaged in double figures during Army's two games last week.

The Mission Viejo, Calif., native scored 13 points in Army's win at St. Francis (N.Y.) on Tuesday and followed that with a 10-point effort at Yale. He also averaged a steal per game, while shooting better than 45 percent from the field in the two games.

Wilson has scored in double figures in four of his first five collegiate games. He is the Black Knights' second-leading scorer at 13.4 points per game, and is shooting 51.0 percent from the field (26-51).

Wilson is the first plebe to win the Patriot League rookie honor at least twice in the same season since Julian Simmons earned three certificates during the 2008-09 campaign. Wilson is Army's first repeat winner since J.P. Spatola won it on Jan. 29 and Feb. 5, 2011.

Army is off to a 3-2 start, and will finish a three-game road stretch on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Bryant. The Black Knights return home to face Hudson Valley rival Marist on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m.
