Patriot League Academic Honor Roll Release (.pdf)
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Ten members of the Army baseball program were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, it was announced by conference officials on Wednesday.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average in the spring semester and participate in baseball. Conference schools combined to place 60 student-athletes on this year's Honor Roll.
Juniors Connor Love (3.945, Management) and Patrick Mescher (3.402, Life Science) both collected their third career certificates, while sophomores Dakari Cooke (3.493, Operations Research) and Taylor Goucher (3.785, Nuclear Engineering) were each named to the Honor Roll for a second time.
Juniors Gunnar Carroll (3.272, American Legal Studies), Jon Crucitti (3.272, U.S. History) and Nick Dignacco (3.332, American Legal Studies) joined sophomore Daniel Cortes (3.616, Engineering Management) and freshmen John Malcolm (3.263, undeclared) and Jonathan Thiess (3.378, undeclared) as first-time honorees.
"We are very proud of the academic and athletic achievements of all of our players," said Army head coach Joe Sottolano. "Being recognized by the conference as standing out amongst their peers is a tribute to the hard work they put in both on and off the field. Our program stresses that on a daily basis, and we pride ourselves in succeeding in all pillars at the Academy."
Army compiled a 29-23 overall record this season en route to a second consecutive Patriot League championship and berth to the NCAA Regionals.
