WEST POINT, N.Y. - Tickets for the exhibition game between the Army Black Knights and the New York Yankees, scheduled for 2:26 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, will go on sale to the public beginning Friday, March 1 at 10:30 a.m. Eligible Army A Club members will have access to an exclusive presale and will be contacted via email with details.
"We are thrilled to revisit the tradition of holding a major league exhibition game at West Point," said Army Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan. "In order to share this experience with those living within the West Point community and the entire Hudson Valley area, we are bringing in portable bleachers to increase the capacity of Johnson Stadium from the existing total of 824 to a figure that will exceed 5,000. Unfortunately, it is expensive to utilize this type of service so the revenue drawn from the ticket sales of this event will go directly towards offsetting the expenses we will incur through the bleacher rental process."
The temporary bleachers will be constructed down the first baseline and in the outfield. General admission bleacher seats on the first baseline will be sold for $50, while general admission seats in the outfield bleachers will cost $40 each. Due to the expected demand for tickets, all orders will be restricted to four tickets per customer. Children one year of age and younger will not need a ticket for entry, but must sit on an adult's lap without obstructing the view of other fans.
All ticket sales will be handled exclusively on Army's official athletics website, goARMYsports.com. Phone and walk-up sales will not be accepted for this event. All ticket sales are final and no refunds will be issued should the game be cancelled for any reason. There will not be a rain date for the contest.
Parking lots will open at 10 a.m., while stadium gates are scheduled to open at 11:00 a.m. Free parking will be available in A, AAA, D, and G lots and complimentary shuttle service to the stadium will be offered from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. The Yankees are slated to take batting practice at 12:30 p.m.
