LAKELAND, Fla. - Patrick Mescher went 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored, and Jacob Page finished 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored as Army overcame a 5-0 deficit to defeat Miami (Ohio), 13-7, at historic Henley Field on Thursday afternoon.

Jon Crucitti, Alex Jensen and Connor Love added two hits apiece for the Black Knights, who improve to 4-8 on the season. Army scored six runs in the seventh inning to transform a 6-3 deficit into a 9-6 lead, and the Black Knights never looked back en route to the victory.

Alex Robinett (2-1) did not permit an earned run over six innings. He posted three strikeouts and walked only one batter.

Kevin Bower and Jake Romano each collected two hits for the RedHawks (6-7). Reliever Brandon Adkins (0-1) took the loss for Miami (Ohio) after allowing three runs on two hits.

Miami (Ohio) scored a pair of unearned runs in the first inning to take an early 2-0 lead. The Redhawks made it 5-0 in the second inning when they pushed across three more unearned runs.

Army outscored Miami (Ohio) by a 12-2 margin over the final four innings, however, to secure the victory.

The Black Knights began chipping away at their deficit in the top of the third as Jensen's sacrifice fly made it 5-1. Harold Earls walked, moved to second base on Crucitti's base hit, advanced to third on Daniel Cortes' sacrifice bunt and scored when Jensen lifted a fly ball to left field.

Army pulled to within 5-3 in the top of the sixth on Love's two-run single. Mescher and Dakari Cooke singled, and Love's base hit drove home both runners to make it a two-run game.

Miami (Ohio) increased its advantage to 6-3 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Romano singled and eventually scored on a wild pitch.

Army then sent 10 men to the plate and scored six runs in the top of the seventh to take a 9-6 lead. The first three Black Knights reached base safely, and Mescher's RBI single made it 6-4. Page followed with an RBI single and Grant Van Orden was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to tie the score at 6-6. Mescher and Page both scored on wild pitches and Van Orden hustled home on Earls' sacrifice fly.

Army padded its lead in the eighth inning as the Black Knights scored four more runs to extend their advantage to 13-6. Cortes walked leading off the frame and Jensen followed with a double to put runners on second and third for Mescher, who stroked an RBI single to make it 10-6. Page followed with a two-run single to move the score to 12-6. Page then stole second base, advanced to third on a ground out and scored on Cooke's sacrifice fly.

Miami (Ohio) capped the scoring in the bottom of the eighth on Matt Packer's solo home run.

Army will close out its Florida trip on Saturday, March 16, when the Black Knights face North Dakota State (2 p.m.) and Dartmouth (6 p.m.) in a split doubleheader at Chain of Lakes Stadium in Winter Haven, Fla.
