WEST POINT, N.Y.  – Junior Clyde Wilson captured the Patriot League Male Track Athlete of the Week laurels after a first-place performance at the Battle of Beantown meet at Harvard University this past Saturday. Wilson’s award is his first league award for the indoor season.

The Texas native bested all runners in the 1,000 meter race, posting a time of 2:26.26. Wilson beat the IC4A standard by more than two seconds with Army’s top time this season. Wilson also holds the team’s top time in the 800 meter with a time of 1:56.69, which he recorded at Army’s Four-Way Invitational held at Gillis Field House last weekend.

Junior field athlete Laurel Neposchlan also earned a honorable mention in the weekly awards as she hit an ECAC qualifying mark of 3.65 meters to take first place in the pole vault at the Battle of Beantown on Saturday.

The Black Knights are set to compete in the NYU Team Challenge in New York City on Saturday, Jan. 24.
