Snoad, Martin Conclude Careers at NCAA Regionals

GREENSBORO, N.C.  – Seniors Nick Snoad and Kyler Martin capped successful four-year careers on Saturday afternoon at the preliminary round of the NCAA Track & Field Championship. Snoad competed in the hammer throw qualifying round while Martin ran in the 110-meter hurdles national quarterfinals after advancing yesterday.  

Snoad placed 19th of 48 with a throw of 58.37 meters. The Gahanna, Ohio, native graduates ranking second all-time at the Academy in the event having recorded a toss of 62.80 meters at the Dick Shea Open on March 30.

Martin, vying for a spot in the NCAA Championships, missed advancing by .10 seconds when he crossed the line in 13.92 seconds to place 16th of 23. The top-12 finishers earned invites to Eugene, Ore. Martin finishes his Army career ranking second all-time in the 110-meter hurdles, having recorded a time of 13.87 seconds during yesterday’s first round.
