ANNAPOLIS, MD. - The Army men's and women's swimming and diving teams turned in several top performances competing at the All Comers Invitational hosted by Navy Saturday at Lejeune Hall.

"It was a productive experience for our team today," said Army head coach Mickey Wender. "It was a chance for a few of our team members to have a final swim on the year and we had some great performances on the day."

"Today's competition helped us finalize our final four spots for the Patriot League team which really solidified the purpose of this weekend. Today's invitational will be a great spring board heading into the final weeks of competition and into the championship meet."

Army's men led the way with seven firsts and nine second place finishes with sophomore Richard Xue doubling for the Black Knights.  Xue topped his season's personal best time in the 400 individual medley behind a 4:02.07 clocking along with winning the shorter 200 IM in 1:54.62.

Freshman Joseph Daniels touched the wall first in the 100 breast (56.42) along with finishing second in the longer 200 (2:04.67). Sophomore Adam Sjoholm (46.30) and freshman Bryan Panaccione (50.62) each led a sweep of the top three places in the 100 free and 100 backstroke, respectively.  Sophomore Alex Dempsey and junior Dion Hart touched first in the 200 backstroke (1:50.82) and 50 free (21.02) leading a one-two finish with Panaccione (1:52.28) earning runner-up honors in the former.

Also placing second were freshman Nick Marks, 200 fly (1:50.51), freshman Scott Von Jouanne, 50 (21.04) and 100 free (46.35), junior Matt Kane, 1650 free (16:04.24), sophomore Austin Kong, 100 fly (50.75), senior Brendan Lorton, 200 IM (1:56.01), sophomore Pierre Anchambeau, 100 back (50.64).

On the women's side, sophomore Jessica Fabrizio excelled in the pool, opening the day with a second-place finish in the 100-yard breast and a first-place victory in the 200-yard breast. Fabrizio's first clocked in at 1:07.74 in the 100 breast, before touching the wall at 2:25.30 in the 200 breast. The sophomore teamed up with Army junior Carolyn McCarty (2:25.77) to go 1-2 in the event.

Junior Kelsey Rebelz collected to second-place showings in the butterfly races, going 1-2 with junior Kristina Muller in the 100-yard butterfly. Rebelz collected her first silver by posting a time of 2:09.01 in the 200 fly, then moved onto the 100 fly posting a time of 59.48. Muller who bested all swimmers clocked in at 58.83 in the event.

Army will go on a three-week hiatus in which they will prepare for the Patriot League Championships. The Black Knights will head back to Annapolis, Md., for the third time this season. The four-day event will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 19, with finals on Saturday, Feb. 22.
