Johnson Named AAA Athlete of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Junior attackman Cole Johnson tallied a career high eight points in Army's 16-7 win over Holy Cross and he was named the Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week.
Cole Johnson helped the Army West Point lacrosse team to a 3-0 start to the Patriot League season with four goals and four assists for a career high eight points in Saturday's 16-7 win over Holy Cross at Michie Stadium. He helped fuel a second half in which Army outscored the Crusaders 10-4. He had four points in the third quarter with two goals and two assists to help Army build its lead to 11-5.
Johnson is fifth in the nation in points per game at 5.13 and sixth in goals per game at 3.0. He has six or more points in his last four games and has a total of 28 points in those games. He has 41 points on 24 goals and 17 assists in eight games this year.Â
Army returns to action on Saturday afternoon at Colgate for a 1 p.m. faceoff on the American Sports Network.
