Kemper, Schurr Share Athlete of the Week Honors

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Junior Aaron Kemper and senior A.J. Schurr were both named the Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for their performances against Eastern Michigan in the 58-36 win last Saturday night.
Kemper ran for a career-high 140 yards on 12 carries, including a 56-yard gallop to the end zone that put Army up 22-3 in the opening minutes of the second quarter. He averaged over 11 yards per carry in the game. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native has reached his career high for a season with 33 carries for 216 yards and has scored a touchdown in each of his three seasons at West Point.
Schurr came in for Bradshaw midway through the game against the Eagles and led the Black Knights with two second-half rushing touchdowns and 67 yards on the ground. He also found the end zone on a two-point conversion that put Army over 50 points on the night. The Libertyille, Ill., product threw for 70 yards on 3-for-7 passing. He has played in three games this season and the 67 yards were a high for 2015.
The Black Knights are back in action on Saturday at noon with a visit to Penn State. The game can be seen live on ESPNU. Army returns to Michie Stadium on Oct. 10 against Duke, a game that is sold out.
