Andrews, Kay Earn CSFL Honors

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Yearling Tanner Andrews and firstie Warren Kay were recognized by the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) as the first Defensive and Special Teams Player-of-the-Week recipients of 2015 on Tuesday following an impressive 34-0 season-opening victory over Post.
Andrews, an Elburn, Ill. native, played a major roll defensively for the Black Knights Friday night. He had a hand in three of the team's six turnovers in the game with two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Andrews also contributed 3.5 tackles, including one for a loss.
Kay, who was named to the All-CSFL 1st team at the conclusion of 2014, was a perfect five for five on his kicks to open 2015, including two field goals. The Goshen, Ind. native, booted a 38-yarder in the second quarter and added a 22-yard kick in the fourth while converting all three of his PAT attempts.
The Black Knights return to action on Friday, Sept. 25, when they travel to Princeton, N.J. to take on the Tigers at 7 p.m. Â Â Â
