PL Announces 25th Anniversary Men's Tennis Team

CENTER VALLEY, Pa.– The Patriot League Men's Tennis 25th Anniversary Team was announced on Thursday with eight different schools represented and Army West Point leading the way with eight honorees.
The team members are listed below by school, with the seasons representing the years of competition within the Patriot League. Each school that participates in men's tennis selected 25 players in the voting for the 25th Anniversary Team, and could not vote for its own student-athletes.

Each of the 11 recipients of the Patriot League Player of the Year award (began in 2002) made the Anniversary Team, with three of those earning the award multiple times. Nine honorees won the Joe Abrahamson Award as the Patriot League Tournament MVP, while six were named to the Patriot League All-Decade Team based on competition from 1990-2000. The Anniversary Team members have combined to earn 79 All-Patriot League honors (first awarded in 1994), while 20 Patriot League champions had at least one member of the Anniversary Team on the squad.
The Patriot League is releasing 25th Anniversary Teams throughout the month of August for each sport that has been sponsored by the League since it became an all-sport conference beginning in the 1990-91 season. In addition to the 25th Anniversary Teams, coverage throughout the 2015-16 season will focus on former student-athletes and top stories in the history of the Patriot League.

Patriot League Men's Tennis 25th Anniversary Team
Arnoldo Albornoz, Army West Point (2000-03) – Albornoz earned All-Patriot League recognition in each of his four seasons for Army West Point, and added the League's Player of the Year award as a senior in 2003. He also earned the Patriot League Tournament MVP honor as a freshman in 2000, and contributed to the team's title that season and again in 2001.
Silas Bouyer, Navy (1995-98) – Bouyer made the All-Patriot League Team in each of his four seasons at Navy, earning spots in singles from 1996-98 and in doubles in 1995 and again in 1997 and 1998. He was named Patriot League Tournament MVP in both 1996 and 1998 in helping the Mids to the League title each season as well as in 1997. Bouyer was named to the Patriot League All-Decade Team and recorded 104 combined singles and doubles dual match victories in his career.
Owen Bullard, Navy (2008-11) – Bullard won three different individual honors in his career, earning the League's Rookie of the Year award in 2008, Tournament MVP honor in 2010 and Player of the Year award in 2011. He is one of two players in League history to earn all three awards. Bullard helped the Mids win the Patriot League title in each of his first three seasons, and was named to the first-team All-League squad in 2010 and 2011. He ranks second in school history with 70 dual match singles wins, and third with 120 combined dual match wins between singles and doubles.
Nick Bybel, Bucknell (2013-present) – Bybel has enjoyed an outstanding three seasons at Bucknell, winning the Patriot League Player of the Year award in each of the last two years along with being part of last season's Doubles Team of the Year and the 2013 Rookie of the Year. He has earned first-team All-League status in each of his three seasons, and is already Bucknell's career record holder in singles wins (84) after setting the single-season mark with a 36-3 record last year.
Marshall Clay, Army West Point (1998-01) – Clay received All-Patriot League status in each of his four seasons for Army West Point, and helped his team win the Patriot League title as both a junior and senior. Clay was named Patriot League Tournament MVP in his final season in 2001.
Carl Fisher, Army West Point (2003-06) – Fisher earned All-Patriot League status three times with a second-team honor in 2004 and first-team recognition in 2005 and 2006, when he was also named the Patriot League Player of the Year. Fisher was named Patriot League Scholar-Athlete in both 2005 and 2006, and helped Army West Point win the League title each of those seasons.
Guy Gebbia, Fordham (1993-95) – Gebbia had three strong seasons within the Patriot League as he was named to the All-League squad in both 1994 and 1995, with a doubles honor as well as singles in the former. Gebbia was also named to the Patriot League All-Decade Team.
Ryan Gelrod, Lehigh (1991-93) – Gelrod is a member of the Patriot League All-Decade Team as he was the 1993 Patriot League champion in first singles after finishing as the runner-up the previous year, and his 58 singles wins are the most for a Lehigh player in the Patriot League era. Gelrod also excelled in the classroom and took home the first three Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards from 1991-93.
Luke Gensburg, Colgate (2011-14) – Gensburg was an All-Patriot League pick in each of his four seasons at Colgate, and finished his career with a 50-26 record in singles play.
Ben Gilman, Lehigh (2012-15) – Gilman was a first-team All-Patriot League selection in each of his four seasons at Lehigh. He helped the Mountain Hawks win the Patriot League title as a sophomore in 2013.
Reed Hagmann, Colgate (2002-05) – Hagmann earned first-team All-Patriot League honors in each of his four seasons, and was named the League's Player of the Year as a senior in 2005 and Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2002. He was the Patriot League No. 1 singles flight champion in 2002 and the No. 2 flight champion in 2005.
Bence Hamori, American (2002) – Hamori made the most of his lone season in the Patriot League, leading American to a 6-0 record in the regular season and the League Tournament title. The Eagles finished the year with a 19-2 mark. Hamori was named Patriot League Player of the Year as well as a first-team All-League honoree, and also earned the League's Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor and an Academic All-American nod.
Asika Isoh, Army West Point (2011-14) – Isoh earned first-team All-Patriot League honors in each of his four seasons, and also earned individual honors three times. He was selected as the League's Player of the Year in both 2012 and 2013, and earned the League Tournament Co-MVP honor in 2011 in leading the Black Knights to the title. He also helped Army West Point claim the League title in 2014, and the Black Knights were unbeaten in the Patriot League regular season three times in his four years.
T.K. Kelly, Bucknell (1997-00) – Kelly earned All-Patriot League status in both 1997 and 1998, and was selected as a member of the Patriot League All-Decade Team. He won 44 career singles matches, with an 18-2 record in 1997-98.
Mitch Koch, Navy (1997-00) – Koch earned All-Patriot League honors in each of his four seasons, making the list in both singles and doubles in all four years. He was named the Patriot League Tournament MVP in both 1997 and 1999, helping the Mids win the League title each of those seasons as well as 1998. Koch is the only player in League history to win a singles match in the current NCAA Tournament team format when he posted a victory against Mississippi in 1999, and he earned an at-large singles berth into the 2000 NCAA Championship. He holds the school record with 76 career singles dual match victories. Koch is also a member of the Patriot League All-Decade Team.
Troy List, Lehigh (2008-11) – List claimed the Patriot League Player of the Year award as a junior in 2010, and was named to the All-Patriot League Team in each of his four seasons with first-team honors in the final three years. He is Lehigh's career leader with 104 combined singles and doubles victories.
Martin MacIntyre, Colgate (2006-09) – MacIntyre was a three-time All-Patriot League selection, with first-team honors in his final two years. He won the Patriot League Player of the Year award as a junior in 2008.
Calvin Mark, Navy (2012-15) – Mark opened his career in style by claiming both the Patriot League Rookie of the Year award and League Tournament MVP honor as a freshman in 2012, and helped the Mids to the League title that season and again as a senior in 2015. He earned first-team All-League honors in each of his four seasons, and holds the Navy record with 140 combined dual match wins by going 68-30 in singles and 72-23 in doubles in his career. Mark set the school single-season record with 44 combined singles and doubles dual match wins in 2012.
Ricky Michalski, Army West Point (1994-97) – Michalski earned All-Patriot League status in each of his four seasons, and is a member of the League's All-Decade Team. He helped Army West Point win League titles in 1994 and 1995.
Phil Muhawi, Army West Point (2006-09) – Muhawi was a four-time All-Patriot League selection, with first-team honors in his final three seasons from 2007-09. He helped Army West Point win the League title as a freshman in 2006.
Nate Nelms, Navy (2006-09) –Nelms was named to the first-team All-Patriot League squad in each of his four seasons at Navy, and earned individual honors three times. He was selected as the League's Player of the Year in both 2007 and 2009, and the Rookie of the Year in 2006. Nelms helped the Mids win the Patriot League title in each of his final three seasons, and was named the League Tournament MVP in both 2007 and 2009. He played every match of his career at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, and is one of two Patriot Leaguers to be selected Player and Rookie of the Year as well as Tournament MVP in his career.
Ira Reibeisen, Bucknell (2005-08) – Reibeisen earned first-team All-Patriot League selections in his final three seasons from 2006-08. He ranks second in school history with 76 singles wins, and sixth with 69 doubles victories.
John Sabia, Army West Point (2001-04) – Sabia earned a spot on the All-Patriot League Team in each of his four seasons at Army West Point, and also helped the Black Knights win the League title as a freshman in 2001.
Alex Van Velzer, Army West Point (2012-15) – Van Velzer earned three individual honors in his years in the Patriot League, including the League Tournament MVP award in helping the Black Knights win the title in 2014. He was selected as Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year in both 2014 and 2015, and earned All-League status three times including first-team honors in 2012 and 2015. He has helped Army West Point to an active 20-game regular-season winning streak against Patriot League opponents.
Eric Wiley, Lafayette (2007-10) – Wiley earned All-Patriot League honors in each of his four seasons at Lafayette. He was a second-team selection three years in a row from 2007-09 before concluding his career with a first-team honor.
