Women's Basketball 25th Anniversary Team Released

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Patriot League Women's Basketball 25th Anniversary Team was announced on Tuesday with seven schools represented, including six who placed three or more former student-athletes on the list led by Army West Point with six selections.
Army West Point's honorees include former Patriot League Players of the Year Cara Enright (USMA '08), Katie Macfarlane (USMA '04), Lisa Russell (USMA '95) and current senior Kelsey Minato, as well as Erin Anthony (USMA '11) and Alex McGuire (USMA '09). Minato is the only active player represented on the 25th Anniversary Team across all of the league's sports. Also recognized was second-year assistant coach Lisa Strack, who enjoyed an impressive four-year playing career at American.
The team members are listed below by school with seasons for each player's years of competition in the Patriot League. Each school that participates in women's basketball selected 25 players in the voting for the 25th Anniversary Team, and could not vote for its own student-athletes.

Fifteen of the 25th Anniversary Team members were named Patriot League Player of the Year at least once, with seven of those honorees earning the award twice or more. Seven honorees were also previously named to the Patriot League All-Decade Team, which was selected for competition from 1990-2000. The group members have combined to earn 75 All-Patriot League honors. Eighteen of the 25 Patriot League champions featured at least one Anniversary Team member on the squad, including the last eight League title winners.
The Patriot League is releasing 25th Anniversary Teams throughout the month of August for each sport that has been sponsored by the League since it became an all-sport conference beginning in the 1990-91 season. In addition to the 25th Anniversary Teams, coverage throughout the 2015-16 season will focus on former student-athletes and top stories in the history of the Patriot League.

Patriot League Women's Basketball 25th Anniversary Team
Desire Almind, Bucknell (2000-04) – Almind made the All-Patriot League Team three times, with a first-team selection in 2004. She was the Patriot League Rookie of the Year in 2001, and the next season she helped the Bison win their first League title. Almind ranks in the top 15 in League history in both scoring (1,581) and rebounding (873), and set the Patriot League single-season record with 390 rebounds in 2003-04 while finishing just two shy of the national leader.
Erin Anthony, Army West Point (2007-11) – Anthony made the All-Patriot League Team in her final three seasons, with first-team recognition in both her junior and senior year. She led the Patriot League in rebounding in three straight seasons from 2009-11, and as a senior also led in scoring and blocked shots. She scored 1,429 points and is third in League history with 1,036 rebounds. Anthony also excelled in the classroom, earning three Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors and first-team Academic All-America status as both a junior and senior.
Emily Braseth, Colgate (2001-05) – Braseth earned All-Patriot League status in her final three seasons, with first-team honors as a junior and senior. She helped Colgate win its lone League title as a junior in 2004, and led the League with 7.5 rebounds per game the next year. Braseth finished her career with 1,417 points.
Kathy Courtney, Holy Cross (1993-97) – Courtney was an outstanding player from start to finish at Holy Cross, earning the Patriot League Rookie of the Year award as a freshman in 1994 and the Player of the Year honor as a senior in 1997. She was named to the first-team All-Patriot League squad in each of her final three seasons, and helped the Crusaders win League titles in both 1995 and 1996 before posting a perfect regular season with a 12-0 record in League play in 1997. She is second in League history in field-goal percentage (56.1%), third in blocks (309) and fifth in rebounds (1,011) while also ranking in the top 20 in points (1,539). Courtney earned a spot on the Patriot League All-Decade Team. She also excelled in the classroom and was named Patriot League Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, an Academic All-American and an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient in 1997.
Molly Creamer, Bucknell (1999-03) – Creamer stands out as the most decorated player in women's basketball in the Patriot League. She earned the League's Player of the Year award in three straight seasons from 2001-03, and remains the only three-time recipient of the honor. Creamer made the first-team All-Patriot League squad in each of those seasons after a second-team honor as a freshman in 2000. She is the League's all-time leading scorer with 2,462 points and second in assists with 593, and also led Bucknell to its first Patriot League title in 2002 while earning the Tournament MVP honor. Creamer was selected 10th overall in the 2003 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty, and went on to have a professional career playing overseas.
Courtney Davidson, Navy (2000-04) – Davidson earned All-Patriot League recognition in each of her four seasons, with first-team honors in three straight years from 2002-04. She stands fourth in League history and is the all-time leader at Navy with 1,857 points, and has the same League and school rankings with 245 three-pointers made. Davidson also excelled in the classroom and was a Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Academic All-American in both 2003 and 2004 before earning an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
Jessica DePalo, Lehigh (2001-05) – DePalo capped her career by winning the Patriot League Player of the Year award in 2005, and earned first-team All-League honors in each of her final two seasons. She finished her career with 1,466 points and 639 rebounds.
Alexis Dobbs, American (2010-14) – Dobbs earned All-Patriot League status three times, with first-team honors as a sophomore and senior around a second-team nod as a junior. She also excelled in the classroom as a three-time winner of the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete award and a recipient of an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. Dobbs finished her career with 1,288 points and is in the Patriot League top 10 in both three-pointers made (222) and percentage (.372).
Becky Dowling, Navy (1994-98) – Dowling started her career as the Patriot League Rookie of the Year and a second-team All-League selection in 1995, then made the first-team All-League squad in her final two seasons in 1997 and 1998. She finished her career with 1,470 points and 923 rebounds, which stands eighth in Patriot League history. Dowling was a member of the Patriot League All-Decade Team, and is the lone Navy women's player to have her jersey retired.
Jen Dumiak, American (2011-15) – Dumiak capped her career with an outstanding senior season as she was named Patriot League Player of the Year and Tournament Most Vauable Player in 2015 while leading American to its first League title and NCAA Tournament appearance. Dumiak also excelled off the court as she was named the Patriot League Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a first-team Academic All-American last year. Dumiak was named to the All-Patriot League Team twice, and ranks second in school history and in the top 10 in Patriot League history with 478 assists.
Cara Enright, Army West Point (2004-08) – Enright won the Patriot League Player of the Year award in 2006 when she also led Army West Point to its first League title and an NCAA berth. Enright led the League with 16.5 ppg that season, and averaged 19.0 ppg in the League Tournament to earn MVP honors. She earned All-Patriot League honors in each of her four seasons, with first-team status in both 2006 and 2007. Enright scored 1,719 points in her career, ranking eighth in Patriot League history.
Hope Foster, Bucknell (2004-08) – Foster earned the Patriot League Player of the Year award as a junior in 2007 when she helped the Bison win the regular-season title, then helped her team to the Patriot League championship as a senior in 2008. Foster was named to the first-team All-Patriot League squad in her final three seasons, and earned Defensive Player of the Year status as a sophomore in 2006. She is second in Patriot League history in blocks (344) and in the top 10 in rebounds (904) while finishing her career with 1,256 points.
Jade Geif, Navy (2010-14) – Geif had a great individual career while leading Navy to outstanding team success. The Mids won the Patriot League title in each of her first three seasons from 2011-13, and claimed at least a share of the regular-season title three times as well. Geif played a key role in that success as she earned three All-Patriot League honors, with first-team recognition in her final two seasons. She was named Patriot League Tournament MVP in both 2011 and 2012, and made the All-Tournament Team in each of her four seasons. Geif finished her career with 1,501 points and 1,033 rebounds, which ranks fourth in League history.
Anna Kinne, Holy Cross (1996-00) – Kinne was selected as the Patriot League Player of the Year as a senior in 2000 and made the All-League squad three times, including first-team honors in both 1998 and 2000. She helped lead Holy Cross to three consecutive Patriot League titles from 1998-00, earning the Tournament MVP honors for both 1999 and 2000 after an All-Tournament nod in 1998. Kinne, a member of the Patriot League All-Decade Team, ranks third in League history in steals (333) and sixth in assists (532) while finishing her career with 1,234 points.
Katie Macfarlane, Army West Point (2000-04) – Macfarlane earned the Patriot League Player of the Year award as a senior in 2004, and was a first-team All-League selection in each of her last three seasons. She is the Patriot League's all-time leading rebounder at 1,143, and third in League history with 1,941 points.
Lauren Maney, Holy Cross (1992-96) – Maney helped lead Holy Cross to three Patriot League titles in her career, first as a freshman in 1993 and then consecutively as a junior and senior in 1995 and 1996. She won the Patriot League Player of the Year award in each of those last two seasons, and earned first-team All-League honors each year after a second-team nod in 1994. She ranks seventh in League history with 1,721 points, and was named to the Patriot League All-Decade Team.
Alex McGuire, Army West Point (2005-09) – McGuire made the All-Patriot League Team in her final three seasons, with first-team honors in both 2008 and 2009. She also helped Army West Point win its first League title and NCAA Tournament berth as a freshman in 2006, scoring 18 points in the Patriot League title game and averaging 13.3 ppg in the League Tournament. McGuire was also named Patriot League Rookie of the Year that season. She finished her career with 1,455 points.
Kelsey Minato, Army West Point (2012-present) – Minato has been a standout in the Patriot League from the moment she started at Army West Point, becoming the first recipient of both the Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards as a freshman in 2013. She helped the Black Knights to a League regular-season title that year, then won Player of the Year again as a sophomore while leading Army West Point to the League title and an NCAA berth. Minato earned the League Tournament MVP award while scoring a championship-game record 31 points. Minato has made the first-team All-Patriot League squad each of her first three seasons, and enters her senior campaign fifth in League history with 1,813 points and in striking distance of the League record of 2,462.
Amy O'Brien, Holy Cross (1995-99) – O'Brien excelled during a dominant era for the Crusaders. She won the Patriot League Player of the Year award in both 1998 and 1999, and helped lead her team to the Patriot League title as a freshman in 1996 and again in both 1998 and 1999. She was named the League Tournament MVP in 1998 and to the All-Tournament Team in her last two seasons while also earning first-team All-League honors in her final three years. O'Brien was named to the Patriot League All-Decade Team, and ranks second in League history in scoring (2,077), third in field-goal percentage (53.2%) and sixth in rebounds (963). O'Brien was also named a second-team Academic All-American in both 1998 and 1999, and the League's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 1997-98.
Norinne Powers, Holy Cross (1990-93) – Powers played three seasons in the Patriot League, and became the League's first two-time Player of the Year honoree as she won the award in both 1992 and 1993. She led the Crusaders to League titles in both 1991 and 1993, earning the League Tournament MVP award in the latter season. Powers was part of the Holy Cross team which achieved the Patriot League's lone NCAA Tournament win in 1991. She had 1,320 points and 582 rebounds in her three League seasons, and is a member of the Patriot League All-Decade Team.
Erica Prosser, Lehigh (2007-11) – Prosser experienced great individual and team success at Lehigh. She was named the Patriot League Player of the Year as a sophomore in 2009 and again as a senior in 2011, when she also doubled as the League's Defensive Player of the Year. She made the first-team All-Patriot League list in each of her final three seasons. Prosser helped Lehigh win consecutive Patriot League titles in 2009 and 2010 and to a share of a third-straight regular-season crown in 2011. She ranks in the top 10 in League history with 1,676 points, 541 assists and 277 steals.
Vicki Quimby, Bucknell (1998-02) – Quimby earned All-Patriot League honors in each of her four seasons, making the first-team in the final three years. She also helped Bucknell to its first Patriot League title and an NCAA berth as a senior in 2002. Quimby ranks in the top 15 in Patriot League history in scoring (1,570) and rebounding (902). She was also named Patriot League Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 1999.
Lisa Russell, Army West Point (1991-95) – Russell earned Patriot League individual honors in three consecutive seasons to start her career, taking the Rookie of the Year award in 1992 followed by the Player of the Year honor in each of the next two seasons. She was also a first-team All-League selection in both 1993 and 1994, and finished her career with 1,411 points.
Lisa Strack, American (2008-12) – Strack was selected as Patriot League Player of the Year as a senior in 2012 when she helped the Eagles become just the third team to go perfect in the League's regular-season schedule, and first to finish with a 14-0 record. Strack earned All-League honors twice, with a second-team nod as a junior before first-team status as a senior.
Anne Tierney, Lehigh (1999-03) – Tierney earned All-Patriot League honors in each of her four seasons, with first-team status in the final three from 2001-03. She stands sixth in League history in scoring (1,807) and second in rebounding (1,129) and is the school record-holder in both categories. Tierney also won the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year award in both 2001 and 2002.

O'Brien was also named a second-team Academic All-American in both 1998 and 1999, and the League's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 1997-98.
Norinne Powers, Holy Cross (1990-93) – Powers played three seasons in the Patriot League, and became the League's first two-time Player of the Year honoree as she won the award in both 1992 and 1993. She led the Crusaders to League titles in both 1991 and 1993, earning the League Tournament MVP award in the latter season. Powers was part of the Holy Cross team which achieved the Patriot League's lone NCAA Tournament win in 1991. She had 1,320 points and 582 rebounds in her three League seasons, and is a member of the Patriot League All-Decade Team.
Erica Prosser, Lehigh (2007-11) – Prosser experienced great individual and team success at Lehigh. She was named the Patriot League Player of the Year as a sophomore in 2009 and again as a senior in 2011, when she also doubled as the League's Defensive Player of the Year. She made the first-team All-Patriot League list in each of her final three seasons. Prosser helped Lehigh win consecutive Patriot League titles in 2009 and 2010 and to a share of a third-straight regular-season crown in 2011. She ranks in the top 10 in League history with 1,676 points, 541 assists and 277 steals.
Vicki Quimby, Bucknell (1998-02) – Quimby earned All-Patriot League honors in each of her four seasons, making the first-team in the final three years. She also helped Bucknell to its first Patriot League title and an NCAA berth as a senior in 2002. Quimby ranks in the top 15 in Patriot League history in scoring (1,570) and rebounding (902). She was also named Patriot League Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 1999.
Lisa Russell, Army West Point (1991-95) – Russell earned Patriot League individual honors in three consecutive seasons to start her career, taking the Rookie of the Year award in 1992 followed by the Player of the Year honor in each of the next two seasons. She was also a first-team All-League selection in both 1993 and 1994, and finished her career with 1,411 points.
Lisa Strack, American (2008-12) – Strack was selected as Patriot League Player of the Year as a senior in 2012 when she helped the Eagles become just the third team to go perfect in the League's regular-season schedule, and first to finish with a 14-0 record. Strack earned All-League honors twice, with a second-team nod as a junior before first-team status as a senior.
Anne Tierney, Lehigh (1999-03) – Tierney earned All-Patriot League honors in each of her four seasons, with first-team status in the final three from 2001-03. She stands sixth in League history in scoring (1,807) and second in rebounding (1,129) and is the school record-holder in both categories. Tierney also won the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year award in both 2001 and 2002.
