Men's Tennis Wraps Up Second Hosted Event of Fall

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's tennis team hosted its second event of the fall season with the Army Invite this weekend on Oct. 3-4.

The tournament included Fairfield and Stony Brook where the teams competed in mock duals.

The sophomore duo of Daniel Zheng and Gregory Shannon went a prefect 2-0 on the weekend in doubles play. Junior Cameron Voigt and freshman Morgan Hale, in addition to sophomore Michael Sienko and senior Ben Davies, were also undefeated in doubles play.

In singles, senior Joey Hatala led the charge earning two victories while suffering just one defeat. Fellow seniors Caison Best and Sam Jang-Milsten were both able to win their only singles matches of the weekend.

The Black Knights will return to action with another action-packed weekend, competing in both the Dartmouth Invite and the Farnsworth Invitational hosted by Princeton from Oct. 9-11.
