WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw against Patriot League-leading Boston University on Saturday afternoon's Senior Day at Clinton Field.

Bucknell and Holy Cross both have eight points, but have yet to play this weekend. Boston University, which is receiving votes in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) national poll, moves to 11-4-2 and 5-1-2 after the draw. The Terriers entered the day at the top of the league standings, but dropped to second after its tie and a win by Colgate. Colgate leads the conference with 18 points, while the Terriers are second with 17.
Senior Cody Guerry scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season for Army, while classmate Tommy Jaeger and sophomore Okheem Riley provided assists. Senior goalkeeper Chris Britt stopped a career-best 10 shots in net.
"Every point is extremely valuable at this time of the season," said head coach Russell Payne. "Tommy did a fantastic job. They put some very strong players on his side of the field and I thought he did a great job defensively, and he helped us offensively as well. I'm proud of Cody, he continues to find a way to be goal dangerous for us."
Boston University received a goal from Felix De Bona, with Danny Foen picking up the assist. Keeper Matt Gilbert finished with three saves for the Terriers.

Boston University registered a shot of its own in the 57th minute when Mark Wadid drove a strike on net that Britt denied to keep Army's deficit at one.
Army used a quick transition to find the equalizer early in the 58th minute, just 20 seconds after Britt's saved on Wadid's attempt. Jaeger dribbled the ball up to midfield for the hosts and sent a pass in to Riley, who crossed the ball from the left side of the 18-yard box to a wide open Guerry before the senior beat Gilbert to knot the match at 1-1.
Both goalkeepers made saves to keep the score level over the next several minutes, as Gilbert saved a shot off of a free kick from Army junior Tanner Vosvick in the 60th minute before Britt stopped a chance by Anthony Viteri in the 63rd minute.
The Black Knights front line generated a pair of chances 42 seconds apart in the 67th and 68th minutes, respectively, with Riley sending a shot in that was blocked by a defender before reaching the net and Williams putting his strike wide of the goal.
Army senior Cameron Niccum nearly put his team in front with a header off of a corner kick from sophomore Marcos Arroyo, but his attempt at the right post was saved by Gilbert to keep the game at 1-1.
