The purpose of the Army Sports Hall of Fame, located within the Kenna Hall of Army Sports, is to honor the athletes, coaches, teams, administrators and others who have brought distinction to Army athletics over its many years of existence. Those team and individual achievements deemed worthy of admittance, based on the established criteria, will be formally recognized with displays in a designated Hall of Fame area of the Kenna Hall of Army Sports, located within the Kimsey Athletic Center.
Eligible candidates include former athletes, coaches, administrators, support staff or any other individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the long history of athletics at the United States Military Academy. Most importantly, these individuals, in addition to specific criteria, must have been of high moral character and must have upheld the values of "Duty, Honor, Country." Nominees are not eligible for induction until 15 years after completion of athletic competition or service as an employee (or coach). In order for an athlete to be eligible, he or she must have graduated from the U.S. Military Academy.
Nominations may be offered between August 1 and February 1 of each calendar year. Nominations should contain only a letter of support on behalf of the candidate. No statistics, letters of recommendation or other additional items are necessary. The athletic department's Office of Athletic Communications will be tasked with developing a detailed biography of the nominee that will be forwarded to a 10-member Selection Committee, which will deliberate the merits of all nominees. The Selection Committee will submit its recommended induction class to the USMA Athletic Committee for approval. Those results will then be passed on to the Academy Superintendent for final approval in late spring or early summer. Nominations may be carried forward for a period of two years if the nominee was not selected in the term in which he/she was nominated.
Nominations may be submitted to:

All induction activities will occur annually and will coincide with an Army home football weekend. Introduction of inductees will occur at halftime of the football game. Induction ceremonies will also occur on this weekend during a formal banquet. A permanent plaque of the inductee will be placed in the Hall of Fame. An identical plaque will also be presented to the inductee.
