Assistant Equipment Manager
Blake Reid was hired by the Army Athletic Association as an assistant equipment manager in May 2007.
Reid's primary focus is on the day-to-day operations of the Army's football team. In addition, he serves as the head men's and women's basketball equipment manager, which places him in charge of the budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and issuance of all Nike gear.
Reid graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Kinesiology. During his time at Iowa State, he had the opportunity to be part of the football team in a student manager role. As a student manager, his main responsibilities were the setup/breakdown of all practices and competitions, travel to all road competitions, and maintenance on all protective equipment.
Reid has also served as a volunteer equipment manager for the 2008 East-West All Star college football game along side of his current supervisor, Nick Determan. He was also heavily involved in the creation of the 2008 Army-Navy ACU (Army Combat Uniform) inspired uniforms, men's basketball's vintage uniforms, and women's basketball's "Pink Zone" uniforms.
Reid is a native of Onslow, Iowa, and currently resides in Highland Falls, N.Y.
