Assistant Athletic Trainer
Benjamin Leary joined the Army Athletic Association as an assistant athletic trainer in August 2011 and works with the men's basketball program.
Leary helps oversee the day-to-day operations of the Holleder Center athletic training room, develops and executes rehabilitation programs for injuries and surgeries, while working closely with coaches, doctors and strength staff.
Leary has also worked with Army's gymnastics and volleyball squads in addition to other NCAA sports.
Prior to arriving at West Point, Leary served as a graduate assistant at the University of Akron assisting in football and track and field coverage.
Leary interned with the Buffalo Bills and worked as an athletic training student at Canisius College.
Leary is a BOC certified athletic trainer, member of the National Athletic Training Association, certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer and is a New York State licensed Athletic Trainer.
He earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Canisius College and his masters in exercise physiology and adult fitness from Akron.
