Members of the Army men's and women's basketball teams were on the court Sunday to participate in a pair of Hoops for Troops clinics at Christl Arena.

Ten players from Army's men's and women's teams joined National Basketball Association legends Chris Mullin, Felipe Lopez and Pat Garrity, as well as Women's National Basketball Association legend Teresa Weatherspoon in instructing the interactive clinics.

Throughout the day, each of the legends addressed the group, offering words of advice to the children participating and to the Army players in attendance.

The initial clinic began at 2 p.m. and featured boys and girls from kindergarten to third grade. Participants were instructed in a variety of drills, including passing, shooting and dribbling and a run through a challenging obstacle course. The second clinic, which was tailored toward boys, grades 4-6, and girls, grades 4-8, started at 3:30 p.m.

Among the Army men's players were seniors Sean Billerman, Maxwell Lenox, Milton Washington and Mo Williams, and juniors Dylan Cox, Kevin Ferguson, Tanner Plomb, Travis Rollo, Larry Toomey and Kyle Wilson.

Members of the Army women's basketball team in attendance were seniors Maggie Crisman and Ciara Jackson, juniors Kelsey Minato, Brigette Ocran, Aimee Oertner, Jean Parker, Bridget Ryan and Allie Setter and sophomores Danielle Failor and Shelby Lindsay.

West Point welcomes the United States Men's Basketball Team to Christl Arena on Monday, where they will hold a team practice at 2 p.m.
